MSSNY Heart, Lung, Cancer Committee Develops a Return to Cancer Screening White Paper

The members of the MSSNY Heart, Lung, Cancer Committee developed a white paper on the need for patients to “Return to Cancer Screening”. This paper, written by committee members Donna D’Alessio, MD, David Fishman, MD, Timothy Korytko, MD; and Maureen Killackey, MD, chair, NYS Cancer Consortium, discusses the need to get patients back to regular cancer screenings following the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper also discusses changes to the insurance system to ensure that all patients are screened with the most up-to-date preventive screening measures.
