Women Physicians Leadership Academy Programs Now Available Online

The three sessions from the Women Physicians Leadership Academy (WPLA) are now available at MSSNY CME site at        https://cme.mssny.org/.   The three sessions will entitle a participant to earn three hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit for each session.

Participants that are new to the site will have to establish an account and password.   Those that already have an account, may just log onto the site, and find the programs under the heading of Women Physicians Leadership Academy.  The three programs are entitled:  Effective Communication; Advocacy and Changemaking and Leadership.    The WPLA was facilitated by Patrice Harris, MD, former AMA president, and faculty included:  Carladenise Edwards, PhD., Geraldine McGinty, MD, MBA, Bea Grouse, RN, JD; NYS Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins, the Hon. Deborah Glick, and the Hon. Amy Paulin; Laurie McGraw, Shamiram Feinglass, MD, MPH; and AMA Past Presidents Nancy Nielsen, MD, and Susan Bailey, MD.

The programs are also available for those participants involved in the WPLA live format, and who may have missed one of the programs in October and November.  The Women Physicians Leadership Academy is jointly sponsored by the Medical Society of the State of New York and its Medical, Education and Scientific Foundation (MESF).   The WPLA has been made possible by a grant from The Physicians Foundation.
