Submit Your Comments on the HIPAA Administrative Simplification Health Care Attachments and Electronic Signatures Proposed Rule Today
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) National Standards Group (NSG) recently released a proposed rule that, if finalized, would adopt standards for “health care attachments” transactions, a standard for electronic signatures to be used in conjunction with health care attachments transactions, and a modification to the standard for the referral certification and authorization transaction (X12 278).
NSG encourages the public to submit comments on the proposed rule by 5 p.m. ET on March 21, 2023. You may submit electronic comments on this regulation to https://www.regulations.gov. Please search docket number CMS-2022-0204 and follow the “Submit a comment” instructions.
